Everything from a straightforward haircut to a full premium grooming session. Each service is carried out with the same level of care and attention.
We keep our service list focused on what we genuinely do well. Below is a full breakdown of each service, including what to expect and who it suits.
The standard haircut at Maverick is not rushed and not formulaic. We begin with a proper consultation — not a quick question in passing — and work through your preference for length, weight, and overall shape before picking up a pair of scissors.
Whether you want a textured crop, a classic side part, a French crop, or simply a tidy-up of your current length, we approach it as a bespoke service rather than a production line.
Consultation on your preferred length, style, and any concerns about your hair.
Gown fitted, hair assessed — we'll comment on condition and density if relevant.
Cut carried out using scissors, clippers, or a combination depending on your style.
Finishing product applied, final check, and aftercare advice if needed.
Suitable for all hair types. Walk-ins welcome, though booking ahead is recommended for shorter wait times.
A clean, accurate fade requires patience and technique. The transition from skin at the sides to your chosen length on top needs to be seamless — visible lines, uneven blends, or an abrupt jump in length aren't the standard we work to.
We offer low, mid, and high fade options, and can discuss the difference if you're not familiar with how each changes the overall look of the cut. Most clients book this service combined with a scissor or clipper finish on top.
If you're unsure which fade height suits your face shape, your barber will guide you through the options during the consultation.

A beard shaping session is more involved than a simple trim. We assess the natural growth direction, density, and the shape of your face before deciding how to approach the lines and the overall silhouette of the beard.
Some clients want precise, defined lines. Others prefer a softer, more natural shape. Both are achievable — the key is understanding what looks balanced for your particular face structure rather than following a trend that doesn't suit you.

A beard trim is a shorter maintenance visit — designed to keep your beard at its best between full shaping sessions. We'll tidy the length, neaten the edges, and check the overall balance without doing a full reshaping every time.
Clients who have their beard shaped here typically return every 2–3 weeks for a trim to maintain the lines. It's a quick, focused service that keeps the work done during the shaping visit looking fresh.
Not suitable as a first visit if you haven't had your beard shaped here before — we recommend booking a beard shaping appointment first so we understand the shape you're working with.

A hot towel is applied to open the pores, soften the skin, and relax the hair follicles before close work near the face and neck. It's a traditional technique that genuinely improves the quality of the shave or beard work that follows.
It's also a comfortable addition to any appointment — a few minutes of warmth before the main service begins. We use clean towels heated to a safe, comfortable temperature and apply a pre-shave preparation before any straight razor work.
Booking note: The hot towel treatment is available as an add-on to any service. Mention it when booking and we'll build it into your appointment time.

A dedicated one-to-one consultation covering your hair, beard, and skincare routine. We'll review what you're currently doing, identify any issues, and suggest practical adjustments — without trying to sell you a full product range you don't need.
This session is particularly useful if you've recently moved and are looking for a new barber, if you're dealing with a specific hair or scalp concern, or if you simply want an honest professional opinion on your current routine. No commitment is required after the session.

Scalp health is often overlooked in a standard grooming routine. A dry, irritated, or flaky scalp affects the condition of your hair and can become more noticeable over time if it's not addressed.
Our scalp care treatment involves a light assessment, a targeted scalp massage with appropriate conditioning product, and practical advice on what's causing the issue and how to manage it at home. It's a straightforward, comfortable session — not a medical treatment, but a genuine improvement for most clients who try it.
If you have a persistent or severe scalp condition, we'd recommend speaking with a dermatologist as well. Our treatment is a grooming service, not a medical one.
